If you aren’t a fan of the software included with the Playsport or Quicktime, check out VLC.  It’s a very small application that works on Windows, Mac, and Linux and should be able to play all your Playsport recordings.   Check out their site at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/.

While the official Kodak Playsport replacement battery doesn’t cost that much at ~$20, there are many inexpensive options.  A highly rated alternative is the Kodak KLIC-7004 / Fuji Np-50 / Pentax DL-I68 Compatible Li-Ion Battery, a bargain at ~$2.
