1. What kind of SD card should I buy for the Kodak Playsport camera?
Definitely get at least a Class 4 SD card.  As for size, you should be able to shoot 2.5 hours of 720P on an 8GB card or 1.5 hours at 1080P.  Make sure you buy your SD card from a reputable dealer as there are some “modified” cards out there that don’t actually fit as much as they advertise.
  2. What kind of battery life should I expect with the Playsport?
You should get around 2 hours of recording on a single charge, but since the replacement batteries are so cheap, buy a few!
  3. Is a USB cable included with the purchase?
    Yes it is!
  4. Can you use this camera with a tripod?
Yes you can, there is a tripod mount on the bottom.
  5. Does the Playsport have an external microphone input?
Unfortunately it doesn’t. (If you need this, get the Zi8 instead)
  6. Does the Playsport have a macro function?
Unfortunately it doesn’t.  (If you need this, get the Zi8 instead).
  7. Does the Playsport come with video editing software?
It does come with Media Impression software that can be used to edit and trim videos, add voiceovers, mix photos and videos together and grab frames from videos.
  8. How far underwater can the Playsport go?
According to Kodak, it can go up to 10ft underwater.
  9. Does the Playsport come with an HDMI cable?
    Yes it does.
